A free software tool for the development of decision support systems

Abstract:This article describes PostGeoOlap, a free software open source tool for decision support that integrates OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) and GIS (Geographical Information Systems). Besides describing the tool, we show how it can be used to achieve effective and low cost decision support that is adequate for small and medium companies and for small public offices.
